The Sir Misha Black Medal
for Distinguished Services to Design Education
 
Nominations for the 2014 Sir Misha Black Medal may be made up to 3 September 2013. Nominations are welcomed from those with knowledge and appreciation of the value of design education, from any country in the world. The Medal is awarded for Distinguished Services to Design Education. The words ‘education’ and ‘design’ are interpreted in their widest meaning.
 
Nominations are accepted, but not exclusively, from:
• educational institutions and organisations; educators; academics
• practitioners in any field of design
• professional bodies and institutions representing designers and educators
• commentators, critics, writers and observers
• communities, specific interest groups, local and national public representatives, individuals
 
The Sir Misha Black Award
for Innovation in Design Education
 
Nominations for the 2014 Sir Misha Black Award for Innovation in Design Education may be made up to 3 September 2013. The Award is confined to educational establishments within the United Kingdom. It is open to individuals, teams, or combined schools working within educational establishments, where innovation has been the key to the development of new thinking which has lead to demonstrable improvement in the education of designers.
 
Nominations are accepted, but not exclusively, from:
• educational institutions and organisations; educators; academics
• practitioners in any field of design
• professional bodies and institutions representing designers and educators
• commentators, critics, writers and observers
communities, specific interest groups, local and national public representatives, individuals
